So this task had come right off the New Camer’s lecture, in which we looked at some of the new camera’s and tools that were being used in society today. For this task, we had to embrace one of the new techniques: Google Earth/Street View.
The task seemed simple at first, but quickly got hard once you realised what had to be done. What was required was for us to go to one of the locations given to us (I was given Omsk, Russia – Sport.) I did some background information, I found out that Omsk was home to nearly 2000 sport constructions in the area, with a variety of stadiums as well that are used for major sporting events, which the most popular being football and hockey.
For my pictures, I decided to go with the aerial route of taking bird’s-eye view picture of the stadiums, to show how big they were in comparison to the rest of the land.
